Im Rahmen der Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) findet
Ende September in Frankfurt/M. auch ein Workshop zu Critical
Infrastructure Protection statt. Anbei die wichtigsten Infos. Mehr unter

Teiltagung Sicherheit...

Die beiden Communities "Safety" und "Security" haben sich zu dem neuen
GI-Fachbereich "Sicherheit - Schutz und Zuverlässigkeit"
zusammengeschlossen: Safety, dem Schutz von Menschen und Sachwerten vor
dem Versagen technischer Systeme gewidmet, und Security als Schutz von
Informationen und Informationsverarbeitung gegen intelligente Angreifer
gedacht. Die Vielzahl sicherheitskritischer Anwendungen, etwa der
Einsatz von Computern in Fahr- und Flugzeugen, die drahtlose
Kommunikation oder elektronisches Bezahlen, sowie die Öffnung vormals
dedizierter Systeme und die Diskussion um die entsprechenden
Schnittstellen zeigen das starke Zusammenwachsen dieser Themenbereiche,
die aber trotz allgemeinen Bemühens immer noch weitgehend nebeneinander
her bearbeitet werden.

Um diesen Themenkomplex auszuleuchten, weiterzuentwickeln und dabei
Experten und Interessierte aus Praxis und Wissenschaft
zusammenzubringen, gestaltet der Fachbereich unter dem Dach der
GI-Jahrestagung Informatik 2003 in Frankfurt/Main eine Teiltagung
"Sicherheit - Schutz und Zuverlässigkeiz".

Notes from the Workshop Coordinators

The workshop is intended for Sept. 29- 30, 2003; but the dates will be
finalised not before May 2003. Thanks to all persons (about 50)
having sent comments to the coordinators. Further feedback is
welcome (willi.stein@ bsi.bund.de). Proposals include, e. g.:
establishing an European CIP/ CIIP forum; distributing the workshop
proceedings (extended by country reports, additional papers and
posters) in a separate volume and/ or on the web; presenting pooled
country reports; stimulating personal/ professional contacts. The
participation fees (Annual Meeting with 4 days, incl. Proceedings) will
be about 250 EUR per person.
